MORE than 20,000 people have gathered to pay their last respects at the funeral of Celtic legend Tommy Burns.
The crowds of mourners packed the east end of Glasgow to remember the 51-year-old who died last week after a battle with skin cancer.
And friends and family who filed into St Mary’s Church in the Calton area of the city were joined by past and present players as well as ex-managers and many familiar footballing faces.
It was a sombre day as fans stood for hours at Celtic Park to leave their tributes to the Parkhead hero – remembered by many as “a true gentleman”.
