This ‘event’ was never published in my local paper ‘the Peeblesshire News’. Why was this as Rita Heyster has lived in Peebles for a long time and her son Jamie lives and works in the town.
Also they arrived in Peebles loaded with money – they said it was to do with Rab Heyster having had an industrial accident in which he injured his back and for which he got compensation. He has since died.
