Skinny robbers hunted over mugging

A MAN was robbed for less than £20 by two skinny thieves.

Police are hunting the pair following the robbery of a 24-year-old man at 11.30am on Saturday in Edinburgh.

The man was accosted from behind by two tall, slim men as he walked home from the post office in Drylaw, North Edinburgh.

One of the suspects grabbed the 24-year-old’s arms to restrain him while the other raided his pockets.

The pair said nothing to their victim as they stole the small amount of cash he was carrying.

Both suspects are white and in their early 20’s.  One with short brown hair brushed forward.  He was wearing a grey Adidas top with yellow stripes and black Adidas trousers.

The second man was said to have short black hair, wearing a blue hoodie and blue trousers.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: “Neither suspect spoke to the complainer or made any threats, but their actions during the robbery left him extremely distressed.

“Anyone who believes they may have saw anything suspicious on Ferry Road around 11.30am on Saturday is asked to contact police immediately.

“Similarly, we would be keen to speak with anyone who recognises the description of the suspects and can assist in identifying them.”

Anyone with information was asked to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131.
