Masked robber makes off with three figure sum

AN armed robber made off with a three-figure sum of money after a raid on a West Lothian shop.

The man – who was wearing all black – entered the Best One store in Dedridge, Livingston, at around 4.45pm on Saturday, with a balaclava masking his face.

Two members of staff were working in the shop at the time and the man approached them brandishing a knife.

He threatened them and forced one to open the till and hand over its contents.

Two customers were also in the store throughout the robbery.

The man is described as being between 5ft 7in and 5ft 9 in and of a slim build.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
