Pix: Most expensive street in Scotland

THE house of Rangers boss David Murray is on the most expensive street in Scotland.

Belmont Drive in Edinburgh has been revealed as the most exclusive street in the country that only those with deep pockets can afford.

David Murray also owns a property on the nearby Easter Belmont Road where he is said to currently live.

One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “He owns a property on Easter Belmont Road and on Belmont Drive.

“His property on Belmont Drive is part of the old Belmont House and is currently having work done to it.

“A former Lord Provost used to stay at the house but it had now been split into three or four properties and there are other properties that surround them.”

For the hefty price tag residents get a property shielded from prying eyes.

The road is closed off with a large iron gate to the front.

An intercom system with a camera sits to one side with Murray’s name among the other residents.

Seven other names are given on the intercom and there are also three blank spaces showing perhaps some of the properties on the street are up for sale.
