A MAN has been found dead in his home after being involved in a car accident.

The 32-year-old man crashed his Volvo car into a tree on Saturday night but declined medical attention at the scene.

He returned to his home in Bo’ness, West Lothian where he was found dead in his bed by a family member on Sunday morning.

The cause of death is yet to be established and a post mortem is still to take place.

Police are now looking for witnesses to the crash to try and establish how the man died.

They are keen to trace the drivers of two small hatchbacks which were in the area at the time.

The crash happened on the A904 road between Bo’ness and Newton at around 8.45pm on Saturday night.

A Lothian and Borders spokesman said: “We are appealing to anyone who was driving on the A904 between Bo’ness and Newton around the time of the collision to contact us.

“In particular, we want to speak to anyone who noticed two small hatchback-type vehicles heading east on the road at that time.

“Anyone who has any other information that can assist our inquiries should also get in touch.”
