Rare buggy stolen from disabled man

John Clarke hoped to use the buggy to get around

A RARE motor vehicle has been stolen from a disabled man in Fife.

The SEMAC Funtech 50 Tricycle was taken sometime between Wednesday and Sunday from behind a house in Methilhaven Road, Methil.

The powered tricycle, registration number GX04BGY, is missing a mirror and the battery was flat, but is otherwise in a roadworthy condition.

The vehicle was being restored by John Clarke, 53, who is registered disabled following a car accident, and was hoping to use the tricycle to get around once he had finished doing it up.

Sergeant Steven Stewart said: “This is a very unusual and distinctive vehicle, and we hope that any member of the public who sees it, or is offered it for sale, will recognise that it is stolen and contact us directly on 0845 600 5702 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
