Missing man pulled from Scottish river

James Stewart was pulled from the water in Dundee

A BODY discovered in the River Tay is that of a missing Perthshire man, police say.

James Stewart was pulled from the water late on Sunday morning (November 20), near Dundee port area by lifeboat crews.

The 59-year-old, of Store Street, Stanley, Perthshire, had been missing from his home since November, 6.

Tayside police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, but as is normal in these circumstance a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal
