Vehicle fire “suspicious”, say police

A FIRE which engulfed two vehicles in Castle Douglas is being treated as suspicious by police.

The Daf recovery lorry and the 56 seat single deck coach at the yard of ABC Travel, Clarebrand, Castle Douglas, were discovered ablaze at around 1am today.

Police and fire services are now investigating

The fire was extinguished however early indications are that damage will run to over £25,000.

A full joint fire investigation with police and fire and rescue personnel will take place today.
