Man who died between road roller and digger named

A MAN who died after becoming trapped between a road roller and a digger has been named by police.

Tayside Police said a 31-year-old man suffered fatal injuries following an industrial accident at an unclassified access road, near Knoxfauld Farm in Kinbuck, Perthshire at about 2.20pm yesterday.

He has been named as David McCorey of Stranraer, Wigtownshire.

Officers along with paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service attended in the area where he had been trapped between a road roller and a digger.

Despite attempts to revive him he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was cordoned off to allow police to make inquiries.

The Health and Safety Executive were informed and a representative attended at the scene to carry out their own enquiries.

There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and as with all sudden deaths, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, the police said.
