Approximately 35 cars were set on fire and 100 sets of windows smashed at Campbell’s Auto Salvage in Collinshiel Road in Armadale between 6pm and 7pm last night.
Firefighters were called and spent approximately four hours dealing with the blaze, which led to a number of road closures and residents being ordered to shut their doors and windows due to the smoke.
The value of the damage caused by the fire is minimal, as all the vehicles were due to be scrapped.
