Dancing in attempt to break the Guiness World Record



DANCERS from schools around Edinburgh will join the attempt to beat the Guinness World Record today.

Schools around the world will go to their school halls, playgrounds, playing fields or to public spaces and perform a new piece of choreography by Wayne McGregor CBE.

Here Mexico City established a record for most people dancing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” with 13 thousand people

The current record is held by the Netherlands with 264,188 people and 1,472 locations.

Four schools will fill studio One at Dance Base with almost 100 dancers. The Big Pledge Schools attending are: Bannerman High School, Auchmutty High School, Balerno Community High School and South Morningside Primary School
