TWO men were taken to hospital after being assaulted in Peterhead on Friday night.

The incident occurred between 8.30pm and 9pm on Friday, 1 June 2012, at Clerkhill Road, Peterhead.

Two 21-year-old males were knocked to the ground and assaulted by three males.
As a result of the incident, both males were taken to hospital. One suffered a suspected fractured arm and the other minor injuries.

One assailant is described as being about six feet in height, muscular build, short dark hair, wearing a blue and white checked shirt and jeans.  A second assailant is described as being about six feet in height, tanned complexion, wearing a plain white t-shirt and jeans.

A 16-year-old male has been charged in connection with the incident and Grampian police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything in the area at the time.

Investigating Officer Constable Craig Dalton said:  “The area would have been very busy at the time due to a nearby funfair, and we would ask anyone with information to come forward.”
