Pic by Lorenzo Dalberto/Deadline...PLEASE CREDIT: Deadline News .NB: Pix to follow .By Kirsty Topping, Anna Gault and Amanda MacMillan .ROADS in the east of Scotland were in chaos today (Thurs) after extreme flooding hit the area. .Nine roads in Fife were passable only with extreme care and a mile long stretch of road on the outskirts of St Andrews was completely blocked. .And Edinburgh was also on high alert after bad flooding hit the capital only last month. .Fife Police highlighted a number of areas for drivers to avoid, including a road into picturesque St Monans which was completely blocked and roads leading to Anstruther and Crail were covered with deep water. .A six mile journey between Newburgh and Auchtermuchty meant drivers braving deep water. .Cupar and Rosyth were some of the worst hit areas as the region was subjected to a deluge...Pic shows Shayne Davies, 5, Kenzie Colins, 4, and Sharon Johnston, 34, on a bench in flooded park in Rosyth..
