The problem is many of Costa’s stores are franchises and so not directly under their control. Obviously the manager of the store in question is not actually qualified to manage anything. Common sense tells you this woman had a perfect right to feed her baby in public and the manager should have dealt with this in a totally different way.

It might not have been milk – it might well have been a soya-based medical feed. (Children are often tube-fed milk, though.)

If this really happened while she was feeding the child milk & medicine through the tube, then she is actually protected by the Breastfeeding Etc (Scotland) Act… which protects any parents right to feed their child milk (cows, formula or breastmilk) on any Scottish premises that allows children.

i also have a son who is disabled and i hate to read things like this, its wrong the amount of adults that behave worse than children when a child is medically different or visually different makes me sick!!!!! what i say is they should be treated the same as anyone else.
