I wonder if Michael has been back to Scotland recently??? I think he might have a shock. If the letters I receive are anything to go by, the tourists to Scotland are very disappointed that the wind developers are trashing Scotland and especially the West Coast. We already have many onshore wind farms both erected and consented and others at applicaton stage. We have also learnt that places like Tiree, Ayrshire, and Dumfries and Galloway are going to have their coastlines ruined by offshore too. Mike Cantlay should hang his head in shame as Visit Scotland are ignoring the destruction of some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland and are reluctant to speak out against this policy that Mr Salmond is inflicting on the tourist industry. Michael Palin would do well to come and see what is happening and find out about what is planned. He would be shocked. Yes, you can still be in the middle of nowhere and instead of people you can now see ugly turbines. Welcome to Scotland.
