I found my first one while walking through George Street (I think?) with friends. I hadn’t heard of this project before and I misread the message on the back as “free lock”. I still thought it was brilliant. This morning, I was out on a little adventure by myself before sunrise to Seaton Park and the Beach. Just as I was heading back home, I found another lock attached to a railing by the sea. I recognised it this time and was really excited to have found another one. It says “someone cares”. It was a bit rusted but still works. It’s now the zip-pull on my jacket, the other one is on my rucksack.

I found one of these the night I got with my partner and it just made us feel that we were ment to be together, I had no idea these were an art idea, until 5 minutes ago when my little brother(18) seen it and said he found one too, so we decided to google it, love this idea by the artist and I will cherish my lock forever thank you

I was feeling pretty down, so I decided to talk myself out on a walk around town. I’ve seen ‘free love’ padlocks previously but had no idea what they were and that your meant to take them. I was lucky enough to find not one, but two. The cute little messages on the back instantly made me smile!

On my way home after been in town something caught my eye outide my flat. It was one of the Freelove padlocks, a very small one, it took me ages to take the key out and open it but it was worthy, it made me so happy!! I don’t know why but it put a smille on my face!!!!
