POLICE are hunting a motorist who left the scene of a fatal New Years Day crash where his passenger was killed.

The unidentified male was sitting in the passenger seat of a silver Vauxhall Signum when it left the road and struck a tree.

The 34-year-old suffered fatal injuries in the collision that occurred on the B7015 Sheephousehill Road in Fauldhouse, West Lothian.
