Stirling Albion have snapped up former Dundee United youngster Ross Smith on a one-year deal from Peterhead.

The 23-year-old, who boasts two caps for Scotland’s under-19 side, becomes the Binos’ sixth summer signing as they look to bounce back from their relegation from League One.

Smith made four senior appearances for United after coming through the ranks at Tannadice but was largely farmed out on loan, enjoying successful stints at Peterhead and Stenhousemuir.

He joined the Blue Toon on a permanent deal last summer but leaves after just one season.
