Queen of the South player/manager James Fowler has made a triple signing after recruiting Kyle Jacobs, Dale Hilson and Jordan Marshall on one-year contracts.

Defender Jacobs, 24, who can also play in midfield, joins from Livingston, while former Dundee United striker Hilson, 22, switches from Forfar after notching ten goals in 30 League One starts for the Loons last season.

Fowler has brought three new signings to Palmerston

Left-back Jordan Marshall, 18, has moved to Palmerston after being involved in the youth set-up at Carlisle United.

Fowler said: “It’s great to get all these three guys signed up. I played with Kyle at Kilmarnock so I know what he’s all about – he’s a good type.

“We had made Dale our number one target in terms of bringing in a striker so it’s also great to get him.

“He’s only 22 and still at a good age to improve.

“Jordan arrives from Carlisle United. He had come in and trained with us last season and is someone that could have a big future.”
