South Queensferry sees rush of buyers at new housing development

A HOME builder has racked up £10 million worth of property sales at its latest development – with the rush expected to intensify as families aim to move in later this year.

Staff at CALA Homes (East) recently saw a surge of interest from families snapping up the spacious properties at its new Dalmeny Park development, in the shadow of the scenic Forth bridges.

The sales burst has primarily been attributed to South Queensferry’s rising status as a hotspot location outside Edinburgh, and also down to the range of incentives CALA are offering buyers.

This includes Part Exchange service which offers, subject to status and acceptance, a guaranteed buyer for your existing home as well as a fair market price for your property.

Sarah Stanger, Sales and Marketing Director, said: “The interest so far has been excellent, but we expect it to intensify as we have just released a new phase of five-bedroom properties to the market.

“Buyers know they get outstanding property for their money, while South Queensferry is a sought after location for many reasons.

“Not least because it is a charming town in its own right with excellent commuter links, including regular trains that can get you into Edinburgh city centre in around 20 minutes.”

Early interest at Dalmeny Park has come from young professionals living in Edinburgh’s city centre eager to relocate to an on-trend location without the city centre price tag.
