The 2015 Isle of Harris Mountain Festival line-up has been unveiled.
The festival, which gives people the chance to explore the mountains on the stunning Hebridean island, takes place between Saturday 12th and Saturday 19th September.
Now in its fifth year it attracts people from all over the world with walks, water sports and talks from leading outdoor experts.
This year’s programme includes a range of guided walks led by the North Harris Ranger Service, from stunning ridges and glens to glorious coastlines – including a set of superb hill walks and the North Harris Trust’s famous Eagle Walk.
Renowned nature writer Jim Crumley will give a talk about his latest book The Eagle’s Way, and award-winning natural history photographer Laurie Campbell will be returning to run a set of photography workshops.
Mountaineer and Forester James Ogilvie will speak about his recent completion of the ‘Seven Summits’ – climbing the highest mountain on each of the seven continents around the world.
There will also be a host of other activities including Segway Trekking, rock climbing, surfing, and sea kayaking and powerboat tours, as well as a special boat trip and guided walk on to the island of Scarp.
