A SCOTTISH artist’s stunning portrait of Andy Murray has proved a massive hit with the former Wimbledon champion’s fans – including his mum.

This portrait – which captures the fierce determination of Murray at his best – was created by Allan Forrest from Edinburgh..

Allan tweeted the coloured pencil on paper creation to his small band of 80 followers.

But after Murray himself retweeted the picture it racked up over 1,000 favourites in just 12 hours.

And Judy Murray tweeted: “Phenomenal. Love it.”

Allan, who posted the picture on Tuesday night, wrote: “Just finished my latest coloured pencil drawing. What you think?”

One commenter – Karen Wake – said: “Captures his gritty determination perfectly.”
