Glasgow-based utility, ScottishPower, has today announced a six-figure sponsorship deal with defending GUINNESS PRO12 champions Glasgow Warriors.
The three-year partnership will see ScottishPower represented through prominent back of shirt branding above the number on the Warriors home and away playing kit.
The company will also work with the Warriors to develop a community youth programme in the west of Scotland.
ScottishPower Chief Corporate Officer Keith Anderson said: “Like the Warriors, we’re proud to call Glasgow our home and through this partnership we hope to inspire a generation of young people to get involved with the game across the city and the west of Scotland, through an exciting new community initiative which will launch later this season.
“Our partnership with the current GUINNESS PRO12 champions will provide young people with the opportunity to experience the positive culture associated with professional rugby and lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.”
Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys added: “ScottishPower is one of the biggest national consumer brands in the United Kingdom and we’re proud that they’ve chosen to sponsor us.
“Working in partnership with ScottishPower will help us to continue the growth of the club both on and off the pitch, as well as providing further support to the work we do within the Glasgow region.”
