Alloa manager Jack Ross has extended Rangers midfielder Robbie Crawford’s loan deal until the end of the season, and appointed Lee Sharp as his new first team coach.

Crawford made 15 appearances for the Wasps during the first half of the campaign, scoring once.

The 22-year-old was due to return to Ibrox this month but Ross is delighted to have prolonged the playmaker’s stay as he bids to preserve Alloa’s Championship status.

Ross, who was unveiled as Danny Lennon’s successor three weeks ago, has also added former Dundee, St Mirren and Stranraer defender Sharp to his backroom team.

Sharp recently held the role of Head of Youth Development and Under-20s head coach at Clyde.
