THIS curious cow stopped walker Rich Smith in his tracks.
As his strange snap shows, the beast had popped its head through a hole in a wall near Dumfries.
28-year-old Rich quickly reached for his camera and posted the result online, prompting a frenzy of bovine-related puns.
He told his pals on social media: “LOL – could do with a caption.”
Kim Baker wrote: “Moooove along. Nothing to see here.”
Eric Matthews suggested: “Hey you…got milk?”
Jill McMahon said: “I am not amooosed.”
Karen Irvine said: “Does my head look big in this?”
Other amusing suggestions include “Och aye the moo”, “Cow do you do” and even an Adele reference: “Hello from the other side”.
Rich said: “I was out for an afternoon walk as I love the views around that way.
“I spotted the hole and had a look through – the next thing I know the cow’s head appeared.
“It was there for a few minutes and then backed up to let the others have a look through.
“It was truly a comical experience and one that I’ll certainly never forget.”
