Scotland’s cheekiest tenants look for double room – but admit they can’t pay first month’s rent

SCOTLAND’S cheekiest tenants are looking to secure a double room – but they can’t pay a deposit or first month’s rent.

Two girls from Edinburgh have posted an advert online, looking for a double room to share in the city centre.

The plea appeared in Facebook group Edinroom on Thursday, which has over 18,000 members and caters for renters and those looking for a new pad.

Beautician Daniella Rivera, who appears to be in her 20s, wrote: “Going to be straight up and honest, myself and my best friend have just come back from travelling and we are looking for a double room or studio/flat to share from the 1st April.

“We’re also open to buddying up.

“Thing is we’re unable to afford both the first months rent and a deposit. “

She added: “Looking for something around £700 a month inc. bills around the city centre.

“We’re both going to be concentrating on working as much as possible and due to our professions were very clean/tidy people so would keep the place in shape.

“We’re a bubbly outgoing pair who are looking to for a cozy place we can call home.”

Pictures on Daniella’s Facebook page show her having fun in exotic locations around Australia.

She has not named her roommate buddy.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the pair have had only two replies.

Guy Hamilton wrote: “Try live in positions at tourist hostels.”

But a man called Tony Harper wrote: “I have a double room. “ and asked them to send him a private message.
