Straight pals prank friends with gay wedding in Las Vegas

TWO best friends pulled off a brilliant prank on their friends and family in Scotland – by faking a gay marriage in Las Vegas.

The straight pals both wore dresses and tiaras, borrowed a genuine wedding chapel complete with Elvis, bought rings, signed a fake register and even staged “morning after” pictures.

Jordan Myles and Kevin MacAuley then posted the hilarious pictures to the shocked amazement of their loved ones back home.

The pair travelled to Nevada to watch the highly-anticipated UFC fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.

But after having a few drinks, Jordan, from Fettercairn, Aberdeenshire, and Kevin, from Brechin, Angus, decided to take advantage of Nevada’s decision 18 months ago to legalise gay marriage.

Joe, a plumber, 32, stood at the altar beaming with delight and wearing a full length strapless wedding gown and veil.

Kevin, 30, who works in the construction industry, looked every inch the proud “groom” in a beaded strapless dress which showed off his heavily tattooed arms.

The pair managed roped in an Elvis impersonator to officiate.

Other wedding photos even show the pranksters signing fake marriage certificates while wearing matching silver wedding rings.

Joe, shared the photos from the ceremony and wrote: “Kev MacMyles and myself would like to announce that we got married in Las Vegas this afternoon.

“Thank you to Allan Webster for acting as Best Man for both of us.

“Off to UFC196 for our honeymoon.”

Joe later uploaded a photograph showing his new groom flaked out on their wedding night writing “I’m obviously not that good in the sack.”

Since the “wedding” the pair have merged their surnames together to both be known as MacMyles.

And both Scots have changed their profile pictures to their first kiss as newlyweds.

Almost immediately shocked friends commented on the post to share their disbelief and best wishes over the wedding.

Amanda Paul wrote: “Is it a joke wedding or for real?” before later on adding: “I still can’t believe you got married.”

Lois Fyfe wrote: “Yes I know this is so so funny but is it real marriage?”

And Lauren Macpherson said: “This made my morning so it’s proper official?”

But Kevin today confirmed they had played an amazing practical joke.

He said: “It was just a wind up for the folk back home as a few people had said that we prob come back married.

“We’d had been drinking when we decided to go and get fake wedding photos done.”
