Lovestruck Rangers fan tries to find supporter she met at Old Firm game

RANGERS fans are trying to help a lovestruck woman score with a supporter she met at last weekend’s Old Firm game.

Linsey Wilson was among the crowd at Hampden on Sunday when a fellow Gers fan gave her his red, white and blue flag.

After the match she took to social media to thank the man for the flag but admitted that she wished he had given her his phone number instead.

A prominent Rangers Facebook page has now shared her post in the hope of sparking a romance for the pair.

It is more common for hate, rather than love, to blossom on derby days and Sunday was no exception as rival supporters clashed and a boy was hit on the head by a flying bottle.

But Linsay posted on Facebook to share how her day had been brightened by her chance encounter despite her team losing 1-0 to a late Celtic goal.

She wrote: “To the guy who gave me his Rangers flag (sitting in C3, row WW, seat 49/51), thank you but would rather have had your number.”

Her post has since been shared by popular Rangers page, ‘Rangers on Tour’, who said: “Let’s make it happen, share it around to get a little romance going.”

The post has since been shared 1,270 times and received well over 2,000 comments and likes.

Whilst Alannah Wright added: “Cue all girlfriends asking to see their boyfriend’s ticket.”
