Celtic fans take over from View at Barrowlands to belt out tribute to Scott Sinclair

VIDEO footage has captured the moment rowdy Celtic fans took over a gig by one of Scotland’s best loved bands – to perform a chant for their star player.

Dundee band The View were playing at the iconic Barrowlands in Glasgow last night to hundreds of their adoring fans.

However, after blaring out hits such as Same Jeans and Superstar Tradesman, Celtic fans decided to perform their own rendition of their song dedicated winger Scott Sinclair.

Jack Young, who was at the gig, uploaded a 28-second clip to Twitter with the caption: “Scotty Sinclair song at the end of The View at the Barrowlands.”

One reveller was particularly enjoying the chant

His video has already been retweeted nearly 200 times with a further 420 likes.

The footage starts as the Hoops fans clap their hands and stamp their feet whilst belting out

“Oh Scotty Sinclair, oh he is so wonderful,” to the tune of ‘The Logical Song’ by Supertramp.

The crowd at the packed venue all appear to join in as the song continues: “When he scores a goal, oh it’s beautiful, it’s magical.”

“When he runs down the wing he’s as fast as lightning, it’s frightening, it makes all the bhoys sing.”

The camera then zooms in on one man in a white polo shirt who seems to be particularly enjoying it as he smiles and jumps up and down.

The whole room then starts to join him in jumping around and chanting as others bring their phones out to film the rowdy scene.

Twitter users have been quick to react to the video.

Rab wrote: “Glasgow is green and white.”

Kevin commented: “Superb, it was getting belted out after Christy Moore on Saturday night as well.”

Whilst Darren added: “Screaming, my brothers there tonight he will be spewing.”

Scott Sinclair is the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership, with 21 goals and a further six assists.

Having joined the Parkhead club in the summer, he’ll be looking to help the team complete an historic treble by lifting the Scottish Cup having already won the the league and League Cup.
