Wife of Rangers captain posts emotional message ahead of club’s European return

THE WIFE of Rangers captain Lee Wallace has shared an emotional message ahead of the club’s return to European action – and revealed they’ve bought their sons new kits for the game.
Steph Wallace took to Facebook to post a message of support for her husband as he prepares to lead Rangers out in a European tie for the first time in six years.
The Rangers captain made his debut in a Champion’s League tie with Swedish side Malmo and has been with the club through their demotion to the bottom division and their rise through the leagues back to the top-flight.

Ahead of Thursday’s Europa League qualifier against FC Progrès Niederkorn of Luxembourg, Steph posted about the game and revealed they’d bought Rangers strips for their boys following the recent change in the deal with Mike Ashley and Sports Direct.

Steph’s post read: “This photo is from 2011 – Lee’s first game for Rangers and a Champion’s League qualifier against Malmo.
“Since then, he has been to the third division and back up and on Thursday, their first European game in six years.
“What makes it even more special, is we have finally been able to buy the boys their kits and they will both be at Ibrox to cheer on their Daddy!
“Absolutely buzzing!”
The photo shows the team photo ahead of the tie against Malmo and includes international stars such as Steven Davis, Nikica Jelavi? and Steven Naismith.
Malmo went on to dump Rangers out of the Champion’s League 2-1 on aggregate.
Fan’s have reacted well to Steph Wallace’s emotional post

George Mclachlan wrote: “She’s a keeper. Really hope Wallace has a good season, of all the players he deserve it.”
John Fraser commented: “This is brilliant. He might not be our best, most vocal or inspirational captain ever, but you can’t deny his loyalty to the club. Hopefully in the coming years he wins a few trophies and is remembered as a legend.”
Whilst Baz Bell added: “What a guy. The only valid choice for captain in my eyes, and I couldn’t be happier reading that. Even partaking in the boycott, incredible! Absolutely outstanding Ranger.”
