You can’t walk along the streets of Edinburgh during August without seeing a crowd circling a street performer. Today’s photo of the day – from resident photographer, Wullie Marr – is from Parliament Square.

An integral part of the Edinburgh’s Festivals season, the street performers always feature a variety of shows and acts – meaning you will never quite know what you will stumble on.

Take a walk along The Royal Mile at the junction between the Tron and George IV Bridge or head to The Mound to catch some of these performers. Alternatively, you can see the breakdown of the performers with where and when to catch them here.
