A SUPERMARKET chain has been blasted after stocking Christmas selection boxes in September.
A picture from a Scotmid Cooperative store in Edinburgh shows a stack of Cadbury’s selection boxes, complete with Santa and a sleigh, 109 days “early”.
But Reddit user ShetlandJames, who posted the image, is not feeling Christmassy. “Stockbridge Co-Op can get tae f***,” he wrote.
The image has received over 600 likes on Reddit, with many viewers commenting on the early Christmas stock.

Last month Selfridges hit the headlines after anouncing the opening of their Christmas Shop 147 days before the festive season begins.
A Santa Claus opened the stores annual festive shop, making it the first department store in the world to open a dedicated Christmas department in July.
A Scotmid Co-operative spokesman said: “Like many other retailers, we’ve introduced Christmas ranges at this point in the year for well over a decade and the reasoning behind this is simple; our customers want it.
“We listen and react to the needs of our customers and many start planning for Christmas as early as September, budgeting accordingly to ensure they have everything in place for the big day.”
