Sir Chris Hoy teams up with Gordon Ramsay at cycling event

OLYMPIC legend Sir Chris Hoy has shared a snap of himself and Gordon Ramsey after a coaching session.

The former cycling world champion was coaching at a charity event for in London when he snapped the pic with the hot-headed chef.

The pair, seen wearing cycling shorts and tops, were raising money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday.

Sir Chris tweeted the picture of himself standing alongside the 50-year-old cook.

In the snap Sir Chris is seen standing wearing a black and yellow top with his arm around the celebrity chef, seen in a red and black top.

He wrote: “Cracking day helping out coaching with @dean0downing at the London Velodrome for the @GOSHCCEvents @GRF_Foundation charity event. This lad had some pace…”

The 41 year-old six time Olympic gold medalist was coaching cyclists and fundraisers at the event in the Lee Valley VeloPark in London along with Dean Downing, a retired British cycling champion.

Commenting on the tweet Downing wrote: Mega day out mate. Great to have fun on the boards again.”

With Sir Chris replying: “The older we get, the better we were.”

While twitter user @BernyBreen joked: “Did he swear at you?”

In another image shared by the Lee Valley VeloPark page showed Sir Chris and Ramsay talking “tactics” with each other next to the track.

The page tweeted: “Talking tactics!”

The Scottish sporting star welcomed his second child, Chloe Rose Carol Hoy, at the beginning of September.

More recently the Scotsman has taken to four wheel racing and has been competing in motorsport events around the country, and last year took part in the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in France.
