Hibs fan slaps Hearts are “dugsh**e” sticker in new Tynecastle ground three days before reopening

A SNEAKY Hibs fan managed to hide a very offensive message about rivals Hearts during the £12m revamp of Tynecastle.

A photo on social media, showing Hearts’ new main stand in the background, reveals a sticker on a railing with the message: “#HeartsAreDugS***e.”

The rude message was discovered by a Hibs fan on Thursday, three days before the official reopening at the weekend.

Diggers can still be seen in the picture taken at a charity quiz event, prompting speculation that a Hibs-mad construction worker did the foul deed.

“#HeartsAreDugS***e” has been trending amongst Hibs fans recently as they mock their rivals over their poor run of results and a 10-week delay over the completion of the new stand.

The fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, took a photo and posted it to Twitter, saying “Stunning”.

Hibs fans lapped it up and replied with praise for whoever placed the sticker.

Caroline said: “Brilliant. Actually snort laughed at this.”

Deryck de Rokesburge said: “That looks like Hibs’ east stand. But about £8million dearer.”

Coonster added: “£14m for a basic stand some c**ts at it, looks like the East with dug outs #heartsaredugs***e.”

Neil Munro said: “Insulting to good dogs worldwide.”

Celtic fan Robert Kennedy waded in to join the fun and said: “All they need now is a better team.”

Hearts’ new main stand was opened on Sunday for the match against Partick Thistle. However the club were heavily criticised after they were only awarded a safety certificate on the morning of the match, leaving it in doubt up to then.

While work was ongoing the club hosted some ‘home’ matches at rugby ground BT Murrayfield, while others were switched to away games.

The new stand has increased the capacity of Tynescastle from 17,420 to more than 20,000.

  1. COOSTER – So the new £14m stand is just like the ER East stand – spot on Einstein…..apart from 4 hospitality suites, rooftop restaurant/terrace, directors suite, Club offices, dressing rooms, Club shop AND a nursery!!!
