Corrie McKeague’s mum shares touching video of missing RAF gunner ice-skating

THE MOTHER of missing RAF gunner Corrie McKeague has shared a touching video of her son laughing and smiling while ice-skating.

Heartbroken mum Nicola Urquhart posted the clip of her son enjoying himself before his tragic disappearance.

The gunner, who became a father for the first time to daughter Ellie-Louise in June last year, vanished after a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, on September 24, 2016.

The short clip shows 23 year-old Corrie ice skating while laughing and joking, as his mum can also be heard giggling in the background.

Nicola decided to share the video on Tuesday to “make people smile” and to show why she will do all she “possibly can to find Corrie.”

Posting on the Find Corrie Facebook page on Saturday, Nicola, 48, from Dunfermline, wrote: “When it feels hard and I feel a little lost I look at my videos and photos of all the amazing memories I have.

“I see Corrie’s beautiful smile and fantastic humour and it just melts my heart. It’s hard to share my videos because they are so personal.

“I’m sharing this one though because hopefully it will make you smile too and you’ll see why I will do all I possibly can to find Corrie. Nicola x.”

Since being posted in the group, the clip has been liked by nearly 4,000 members and received over 650 comments of support for Nicola and her family.

Lauren Megan Wilson said: “This video certainly makes me smile. Beautiful Corrie, what a lovely man you raised.

“We’re all still here behind you guys, will be until we find him. I find it a little worrying how different his movements are between this clip and the CCTV. Yes he’s had a drink or few but his movements are much less open and happy #findcorrie.”

Stephanie Chilvers said: “Oh gosh Nicola I don’t know how you get through each day. Watching videos like this is hard enough for us who haven’t even met Corrie, I can’t imagine the pain you feel. I hope more than anything this year brings you answers.”

Susan Paterson said: “Thank you for sharing this with us Nicola. What a beautiful smile Corrie has, amazing young man. He has to be found. I have never met you or your family but believe me you are in all my prayers and thoughts. I will never take my wristband off or Corrie poster out my car until he is found.”

Suzy White said: “Sending you lots of love. Thank you for sharing this video, Corrie certainly looks such a happy person. I hope this new year brings you answers, Thinking of you.”

Corrie vanished following a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk on September 24 2016.

Police believe the 23-year-old from Dunfermline, Fife, had climbed into a waste bin and was taken away back to a landfill in Milton, Cambridgeshire.

Two long searches of the site have failed to find any trace of him, though Suffolk Police are convinced that is where he ended up.

Last month ago Nicola said that police were investigating reports that her son had been murdered, after she had passed them information which had been given to her.
