“Creepiest house I ever saw” Brothel and porn studio claims over property with showers in odd places

A HOME for sale which boasts shower cubicles in the kitchen and living room has sparked hilarious online speculation it was once a “brothel” or “porn studio”.

The three-bedroom property in Maidstone, Kent, is on sale for offers in the region of £260,000 and the sellers admit it needs “modernisation”.

But after eagle-eyed viewers spotted shower cubicles in very unusual places, the internet has gone into meltdown. One described it as “the creepiest house I ever saw”.

One of the pictures shows a traditional-looking living room complete with carpet, a gas heater and curtains in the window. But there is also a shower cubicle in one corner constructed with clear glass.

The kitchen also has a shower cubicle in one corner with a curved blue base and blue and white curtains.

On social media, Maethor_derien speculated: “It was likely put in because they shot porn at one time there.

“An actual bathroom is too small to shoot porn so any shower scenes you see would be shot in a room like this.

“That is also why the shower windows and doors are clear instead of frosted glass like a standard shower uses.”

ieya404 added: “I’m guessing that there probably used to be a bed there as well, and the the shower’s where you could swill off before leaving?”

TheBestBigAl wasn’t convinced the “shower room” was used for porn arguing: “I have two showers in our house and neither are frosted and to my knowledge we haven’t filmed any pornos here.”

However, many more are convinced that the “attractive” terraced home in Kent used to actually be a “brothel”.

Theholybikini wrote: “This is definitely a brothel. Showers for the clients and the employees.”

Spicerldn said that the house was similar to a brothel he visited in Tooting, London, which had a “shower in the kitchen”.

Others claimed to spot “cabling” in strange places, prompting yet more speculation that it was probably used for “CCTV to blackmail the clients afterwards.”

Pancak3d posted: “Oh boy this has really escalated.”

And TheEroticSpork said: “Jesus, this is the creepiest house I’ve ever seen.

Sellers Page & Wells describe the house as an “attractive and deceptively spacious older style terraced home in need of modernisation, situated within a sought after residential location”.

They add that it is conveniently placed for access to Maidstone town centre and the M20 motorway network, lying approximately one-mile north on the outskirts of Maidstone town centre.

“Although the property does require modernisation, it offers generous size accommodation set over four floors offering the opportunity for a potential buyer to place their own stamp on the property,” they add.

The accommodation comes with an “entrance hall, living room, shower room and w.c. to the ground floor.

A dining room and a kitchen to the lower ground floor and two good sized bedrooms on the first floor with a “generous size” bedroom on the second floor.”

Page & Wells declined to comment.
