Are you planning to fly from Luton this summer?

If so, here are eight sizzling summery tips to help you get the most out of your travels.

1. Drink plenty of water

Travel is thirsty work and even more so in warm weather, so make sure you keep yourself hydrated. Travelling with a bottle is a good idea, as you can top it up and quench that thirst wherever you are, saving a few pounds in the process.

2. Private browsing mode

Wicked website cookies can track your visits, so if you keep returning to the same site when looking for flights, you’ll soon find that the price soars. Avoid this by turning on private browsing when you search – summer holidays are pricey enough!

3. Keep cool

The last thing you want is to spend your holiday dripping with sweat. So be proactive and bring your a hand held fan, or better yet, buy a more powerful USB fan from Dunelm Mill – they’re small and powered from a USB port, so can potentially be used outdoors and on public transport too.

4. Power bank

On a summer holiday you’ll probably be spending a lot time outdoors. So bring a power bank with you so that you can charge your devices while you’re out – you’d be surprised how quickly your battery can drain when you’re taking pics and navigating using a map app.

5. Protect yourself

Sunshine is a wonderful thing, but too much can cause serious harm. Protect yourself by using sun cream and other sun protection products. Also, a summer holiday is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a snazzy pair of shades that’ll protect your eyes from those UV rays, whilst making you look super stylish.

6. Check the weather

Coming from the UK, you’ll know better than most that summer doesn’t necessarily equal nice weather. Therefore, make sure you check the weather forecast for your destination so that you can pack suitable clothing and plan activities accordingly. And for hyperlocal down-to-the-minute weather forecasts during your holiday, you can download the dark sky app.

7. Play indoors

If your holiday destination is blessed with good weather, it can be tempting to spend the bulk of your time outside, but you could be missing out on some great indoor activities. Don’t let the weather dictate your itinerary– do some research and choose the activities that excite you the most.

8.Drive to the airport

No one wants to be stuck on public transport, sandwiched between strangers in scorching heat. So jump in your car, turn on the AC and drive to the airport. Find great deals for Luton Airport parking on Looking4.com, then cruise to the airport feeling cool and calm.

Follow these eight tips and look forward to an excellent summer adventure!
