I tried the Kool8 water bottle – AND I loved it

I have to admit that I am someone who is really into looking after the environment.

And in 2019, shouldn’t we all? The entire world has been spun into an environmental crisis and I’m utterly convinced that everyone should be doing as much as they can to save the earth.

I’ve gotten pretty obsessed with environmentally conscious purchases recently. Metal reusable straws, cloth makeup removers, compost bins, even paper bubble wrap – you name it, I’ve got it. However, plastic bottles have always been my downfall,  which seems a little silly considering I own paper bubble wrap.

I always find myself buying multipacks of water at the store, and although I refill the same bottle throughout the week, by Sunday night it’s always disposed of ready for a fresh one on Monday.

Let’s face it: I am a slave to the convenience of a meal deal water bottle, and admittedly when I haven’t had access to one, I’ve then reached for the one-time used paper cups at water dispensers.

That’s why when I came across the Kool8 water bottles whilst searching for my latest environmentally friendly fab, I knew I had to have one.

My time had come to venture into the world of drinking from fabulous cups like only an organised person does.

One look at these beautiful bottles confirmed they were the product for me. I quickly snapped one up in a smooth grey colour and I waited at the door like a lost puppy for my parcel to arrive.

One of the things that immediately drew me to this brand over any other was how it gives back to the world. Before my bottle even arrived at the door, 20% of the profits from the sale were donated towards delivering clean, fresh water to underprivileged parts of the world. How amazing!

As someone who strives to make the world a better place, the idea that I was not only purchasing an environmentally friendly product, but donating to a good cause too was fantastic.

There are five different colours to choose from, which means that there are no discrepancies as to whose bottle is whose, as there were when I was five years old. You can choose between modern grey, a rich red, dreamy turquoise, funky green and hot pink. Check out this Kool8 review I found online for the red colour.

I like to think that everyone lets their personality shine through their choice of water bottle colour, so it’s nice to know Kool8 offers a range to let people do their thing.

In addition, I personally love a good cup of tea. It’s the first thing I make when I wake up, and the last thing I drink before going to sleep. However, I’m very good at getting distracted. Whether that’s getting a phone call or rushing towards a deadline there’s always the chance I will end up trying to glug down a clock-cold cuppa.

This is where my lovely new bottle comes in handy.

My Kool8 keeps my tea warm for up to 12 hours. 12 whole hours! I could make my drink in the morning, totally forget about it all day, and it would still be drinkable by the time I got to bed (although let’s be honest – I couldn’t last that long without a caffeine fix).

I absolutely love that it also comes with a little tea infuser, too – so if I’m in the mood for something fruity, then the option is right there.

Kool8 bottles don’t just do hot drinks either, oh no, they also keep water cool for as long as 24 hours. I find this so handy for long car journeys, days out or even when on holiday to keep me hydrated with cold, refreshing water. There’s nothing quite like the taste of an ice cold drink, and knowing you have access to that all day is amazing.

And for those of you wondering – because I wondered the same for a while – these bottles are so easy to clean that you can switch between hot and cold drinks all day without any odd-tasting beverages.

Okay, we’ve reached the geeky part.

Exactly how does this bottle keep tea warm and water cool for so long? Well, my friends, this is all down to the bottle’s double-walled insulation,  which keeps all of my drinks in a snuggly temperature trap all day long. You can tell that the designers have really put in some effort into this too because, despite this insulation, the bottle remains nice and light.

In addition, this bottle feels like it could take some serious bruises before breaking (I’ve dropped it a few times so far on the floor!), which is nice and handy to stop my purse having to cough up more money for a replacement. Every bottle is made of stainless steel to ensure that quality stays intact and no wear and tear is visible. It’s like a brand new bottle every day.

My new Kool8 best friend now comes with me everywhere: to the gym, work, the park, the coffee shop and even on holiday. I simply don’t know what I did before this lovely green package landed on my doorstep, and that isn’t an exaggeration.

Last year, the average American used 167 disposable water bottles. I can now rest happy knowing that I am not one of those people and that my water is ten times kooler than theirs (pun intended!), even when sat in the sun all day long.

My bottle is giving back to the world, keeps me hydrated, infuses my teas beautifully and is pretty damn cute.

What’s your water bottle doing for you?
