Itison donates over 1,000 experiences to local charities in first month

Daily deals service itison have expanded their new charity initiative supporting the benefits of respite after helping over 1,000 people.

Itison Us will bring local charities and businesses together to give them experiences such family days out, dinners or a night away.

In the first month, itison us has supported six local charities and donated over 1,000 experiences to the people the charities support and their volunteers – including family tickets to Loch Lomond Faerie Trail; overnight stays with dinner and spa access at Norton House Hotel and tickets to Little Miss Sunshine at the King’s Theatre.

Yesterday itison expanded its charity into Edinburgh supporting three local charities that help other people: Midlothian Sure Start, Edinburgh Young Carers and Grassmarket Community Project; with a plan to continue rolling out across other cities shortly.

Itison us launched in Glasgow in May, with a mission to spread smiles to thousands of people who need it most each month; focusing on the power of respite and giving amazing experiences.

Each month itison us match makes local charities with businesses on itison to give them great experiences such as a night away or family days out. Charities can then use these vouchers to provide respite for the people they support, the volunteers giving their time to the charity or to fundraise.

The company aims to help more local charities in the country and plan to roll out in more cities in the coming months

Itison us supports charities that are doing great work locally. With 1.5 million itison members across the UK, itison us will not only be donating vouchers, but also putting the spotlight on these small, local charities and raising awareness of the work they do.

itison absorbs all admin costs and labour, making it simple for businesses and charities to get involved.

Oli Norman Ceo at itison

Oli Norman, CEO at itison said: “Our goal is to create major impact in each of the cities we live and work in. itison us will ensure thousands of people across Edinburgh get additional support and the ability to enjoy amazing experiences that put a smile on their face.

“When you think about charity you don’t often think about the power of respite or giving a smile, that’s exactly what itison us does.

“itison members don’t need to do anything – we’re not only going to donate if you buy something or ask you to pay anything at all. We’re not doing this to increase sales, we’re doing it because we can.”
