Hibs midfielder Tommy Block draws inspirations from Andrew Robertson rise as he joins Queen’s Park

HIBS starlet Tommy Block hopes to follow the Andrew Robertson path to stardom after joining Queen’s Park on loan.

The 19-year-old has penned a season-long deal with the Spiders but will continue to train with the Hibees and be eligible for any development squad fixtures.

Block, who arrived at Hibs from English minnows Bognor Regis Town in January, is relishing the prospect of first-team football with the League 2 outfit.

He said: “Queen’s Park have shown that they aren’t afraid to put young players in. You only have to look at Andy Robertson to see that.

“I’m also looking forward to running out at an iconic stadium like Hampden on a regular basis.

“If I’m able to earn a place in the first team at Queen’s Park I’ll pick up great experience at first-team level.”
