The worst pitch invasion in history as solo fan runs on to pitch, misses ball and falls flat on his face – twice

HILARIOUS footage shows the worst pitch invasion in history as a fan runs on to the pitch and twice fails to kick the ball into an open net.

The supporter ran on to the pitch during Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash between Leeds United and Salford City.

The man tries to kick the ball into the net but misses completely and falls forward.

Staggering to his feet he runs up to have another go but a steward kicks the ball out of the way and the man once again falls over.

The clip was taken by Anthony Ratcliffe, 31, a season ticket holder for Manchester United went to support Salford City, who were beaten 3-0.

Anthony from Wigan, Greater Manchester, uploaded the video to Facebook yesterday evening captioned: “This last night at the Salford City vs Leeds match was the funniest thing I have ever witnessed. Sky sports didn’t show it”

Speaking today, Anthony said: “I have seen pitch invasions but not like this idiot. Completely missing the ball and falling over.”
