Stunning images show £30m design-your-own mansion to be built in super-wealthy Surrey village

STUNNING images show a £30m design-your-own-mansion to be built on former Crown Estate land now home to past and present Chelsea stars.

Computer-generated pictures and video show 11-bedroom property complete with a tennis court, two bowling alleys and state of the art security including thermal imaging detection and bullet proof windows.

Inside the Surrey mansion, there is a Roman baths-style swimming pool, a grand hall with floor to ceiling marble, a marbled garage and a master dressing room.

Hampton Hall will be built in the village of Oxshott as soon as a multi-millionaire signs up for the 29,000 sq ft property and 1.3 acres of land.

Much of the surrounding land was purchased from the Crown Estate by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich around the time Jose Mourinho became manager in 2004. The area is only 10 minutes from Chelsea’s training ground.

The sellers of Hampton Hall, Stately Homes, say current Chelsea stars are among the buyer’s neighbours. Former captain John Terry is reportedly selling his nearby mansion.

The house is styled on the 16th century Hampton Court Palace and is expected to be one of the largest domestic properties in Surrey.

The current plan can be customised so long as it adheres to Crown Estates guidelines on keeping the exterior similar other properties in the area.

Stately Homes bought the land in 2017 and have taken a year and a half to get planning permission by the Crown Estate approved.

They aim to start building next summer and finish by September the following year.

Stately Homes describe the property in their brochure writing: “Hampton Hall is at once opulent and homely. It blends modern materials and technology with classical design and traditional craftsmanship.

“It is the latest of a new generation of ‘Prodigy’ homes, influenced by the stately architecture of 16th century English county mansions. Designed to make a statement, to be awe inspiring yet be relaxed, comfortable and serve generations.”

Speaking today, Howard Lowe, Land and New Homes Director and Stately Homes said: “A lot of buyers like to buy off-plan and get a designer built house. They get a stamp duty saving and they get to choose what happens with it.

“Oxshott is a bizarre pocket of extreme wealth. Typically the upper end of the market has been pretty good despite what is going on.

“It’s about 12-18 months but there is a real lack of prime end of the market, so when a property as unique as this comes on the market it can go quite quickly. There is a big demand for prime quality housing.”

Other Oxshott footballer residents, past and present, include Didier Drogba, Petr Cech, Danny Drinkwater, Oliver Giroud, Eden Hazard, Peter Crouch and, away from football, Andy Murray and Colin Montgomrie.
