Boohoo customer’s Christmas jumper is so small it fits her daughter, 10

A BOOHOO shopper has slammed the retailer after her £12 Christmas jumper arrived and was so small it fit her 10-year-old daughter.

Nicola Carter from Manchester was gobsmacked when she opened the jumper on Monday, fearing she had accidentally ordered a children’s size.

Nicola, a size 12, ordered the medium to large garment but reckons what arrived was near to size 4, four sizes smaller.

The 33-year-old said there was no point even trying the jumper on as it looked like it had shrunk in the wash.

A hilarious photo shows Nicola’s daughter, Mia-Sara Whittle with her arms outstretched modelling the red Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal jumper, which fits perfectly.

Mia-Sara has kept the jumper for herself

The jumper’s slogan is a reference to the now-famous fake gangster film watched by Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone.

A furious Nicola took to social media to complain about the ridiculous sizing.

She shared the photo of Mia-Sara with the caption: “When you order a Christmas jumper off boohoo.com in adult’s size medium/large and it goes nowhere near you (size 12), but fits my 11-year-old daughter, says a lot about the sizing.

“Mia only just fits an adult size 4 so think Boohoo really need to sort out their size guides.”

An adult UK size four is also known as a “size zero” and is six sizes below the average average for a British woman.

Fellow customer Stephanie Gallagher also complained of similar issues. She wrote: “They are s*** sizing. I would need about a 32 in jumpers hahaha.”

Nicola has since decided to keep the jumper for Mia-Sara as it fits so well, but wanted felt compelled to raise the sizing issue with the retailer.

Boohoo have face criticism over sizing in the past

She complained directly to Boohoo who apologised that the sizing wasn’t right for her.

A customer service adviser wrote: “Really sorry this isn’t the right fit for you. Please go ahead and get this returned back to us for a refund.”

Speaking today, Nicola said: “When I first opened the package I said: ‘This looks like a kid’s jumper’, I had to double check the label to make sure I ordered correct size.

“I tried to get it on, but it looked like it had been shrunk four sizes in the wash.

“I order regularly off boohoo and a lot of time they are fine, but I definitely normally order a size bigger.”

It’s not the first time Boohoo have been under fire for their sizing.

In February, shoppers hit out at the company for labelling size eight clothing as “Large”.

And in May, Ashley Warrington from Wirral, Merseyside blasted the retailer after her Large bodysuit was so small it fit her seven-year-old cousin better.
