A TIME-strapped mum has come up with a “genius” hack to cool down her hungry toddler’s food by using an Aldi buggy fan.
Sarah Sisson from Heanor, Derbyshire, says her clever trick allows her to cool down food for daughter Iyla, 2, while getting on with other household chores.
Between hungry Iyla getting impatient and looking after her six-month-old baby Lexi, Sarah explained she needs all the help she can get.
She shared snaps showing the fan in action on Facebook on Tuesday [15 Sep] where it has gone down a storm with other parents.
The images show the £3.99 fan whirring away while clipped to the side of Iyla’s plate.
Savvy Sarah shared her tip with other parents, posting the picture and saying: “My 2 year old is very impatient at waiting for her dinner to cool down.
“Had a genius idea to clip my baby’s buggy fan from Aldi to her plate.
“Saved so much time standing blowing and I could carry on with what I was doing.”
The post, which has since been liked more than 13,000 times, has stunned social media users.
One mum wrote: “Such a good idea, my kids are so impatient, going to have to get one.”
Another added: “Fantastic idea, this is what I need.”
One woman said: “Genius”.
And one mum admitted: “I’ve been known to stick my son’s dinner in the freezer for a minute.”
Speaking today, IKEA chef Sarah said: ““Iyla really loves her food, she would eat all day if I let her.
Toddlers can be very impatient when it comes to waiting for something and having two children, it can get very busy sometimes as many mums can relate, so I wanted to find a solution to save on time.
“I definitely didn’t expect so many people to like and comment, I just wanted to post it to make other parents’ lives that little bit easier.”
