£4000 of heroin in Shetland seizure

Officer numbers have risen by just 160

POLICE in Shetland have seized more that £4000 of heroin. The drug was taken from a 20-year-old woman after she was searched at a ferry terminal in Lerwick. Officers found her to be carrying heroin with a street value of £4,200. The matter has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in Lerwick.

Missing prisoner arrested

Samuel Stewart has been missing for almost a week

A PRISONER who absconded from Castle Huntly has been arrested in Edinburgh. Samuel Boyle Stewart failed to return last week after home leave. A report on the matter is being submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and it is expected that the man will appear from custody at Perth Sheriff Court tomorrow (Thurs).
