A record turnout of 8500 helped turn the annual Ladies Day fixture at Musselburgh Race Course into a runaway success.
The event was odds on to dazzle with the range of fashion, glamour and chic on show – but only the most optimistic punter would have bet on such a day of brilliant sunshine.
