POP STAR Peter Andre is to lift the lid on his heartbreak over splitting from former glamour model Katie Price in Edinburgh later this month.
He is taking part in a ‘masterclass’ at this year’s Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival and is expected to talk in depth about the break-up.
His appearance on Saturday, August 29, comes as he joins Neville Hendricks, executive producer of ITV2 reality show Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter Southside, where they will discuss what is to happen with the franchise following the split.
It will also coincide with promotion of his new single, Behind Closed Doors, which is released next Monday on iTunes.
Andre split from Price earlier this year and has been photographed extensively in tears over the ending of their relationship which began after filming the reality show I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here in his native Australia.
The pair married four years ago and have since had two children together while caring for a third from Price’s earlier relationship to ex footballer Dwight Yorke.
At the weekend Andre, 36, gave a magazine interview admitted there is no chance of a reunion following the parting of ways in May.
He said: “I know we could never get back together. But I’d like to think we can be friends for the sake of the children.”
The break-up happened after Price was photographed appearing close to another man in a nightclub, although she has always denied being unfaithful.
Advances
But he too was forced to deny claims he made inappropriate advances to a Price lookalike while married, winning damages from one Sunday newspaper.
During this month’s event he will also talk about his experience of being filmed 24-hrs a day as part of the series and, potentially, what effect that may have had on their relationship.
The festival is also expected to hear from other celebrities including actor Ross Kemp, The Wire creator David Simon, media executive James Murdoch and BBC Business editor Robert Peston when it takes place between August 28 and 30.
ITV also announced yesterday that it is to screen a one-off show, Going It Alone, featuring Andre.
It claims exclusive access to the star in the weeks after the split as he settles into his new home.
The documentary will be shown on ITV2 on August 17.
