A 27-year-old man has appeared in court connection with an alleged attempted murder in East Lothian.
A 28-year-old man suffered numerous injuries to his head arm and abdomen following the incident in Fishers Wynd on Saturday 5 February.
George Thomson, from Musselburgh, appeared on petition at Haddington Sheriff Court today (Wednesday).
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody until his next appearance.
