Concerns grow for missing man

Steven Hope has been missing for almost three weeks

A MAN who has been missing for almost three weeks is being sought by concerned police.

Steven Hope was last seen in Peebles on August 24 but has not been in contact with his family since.

The 43-year-old is known to have connections in Edinburgh and West Lothian.

Steven is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, with a stocky build and clean-shaven complexion, green eyes and a celtic tribal tattoo on his back between his shoulder blades.

He also has an 8inch skin graft on the right arm and speaks with a Scottish accent.

A police spokesman said: “Despite two weeks of enquiries, officers are yet to trace Steven and would urge him to make contact with loved ones or police immediately and let us know he is safe and well.

“We would also appeal to our local communities in the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and West Lothian to come forward with any information that can assist us in locating Steven.”
